Lincoln
/ Reagan Day Dinner a Huge Success
Over 350 Republicans attended the Lincoln / Reagan Day Dinner on
May 5. Karl Rove gave an energizing speech covering the
economy and the war on terror. This was the largest
Republican event ever produced in
Charlotte County and from start to go, came off without a hitch
thanks to the organizational committee which included Sue and
Scott Ruekel and Betty and Raul Fernandez and several others who
worked hard to make this a truly memorable occasion.
Mr. Rove was presented with a Resolution passed at the last
Executive Committee meeting, which he will deliver to President
Bush. The Text of the resolution appears below:
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the United States of America is at war with terrorist factions in the
Middle East and other areas in the world and
WHEREAS, Military actions in Iraq and Afghanistan are critical in stopping the
spread of terrorism to other areas of the world and the United States of America
and
WHEREAS, the Congress of the United States is determined to force withdrawal of
United States troops from the war zones prior to completion of the mission,
IT
IS RESOLVED, that The Charlotte County, Florida Republican Executive Committee
supports President George W. Bush’s policies and actions in protecting the
people of the United States of America against terrorists and in his commitment
to continue military action against terrorist factions in Iraq and Afghanistan.

supports a Presidential veto of any legislation presented by the Congress of the
